Third party affidavits

Hello, I am getting ready for my interview next week in NYC and I was thinking of having third party affidavits signed by our friends.

1) Does anyone have an example of how it should look like?

2) does it have to be notarized?

3) Anybody here on VJ who used them or anyone who was asked of them at the interview?

I knew I had seen it somewhere. I did see some specific to AOS but can't find them now.

We used letters from friends at our interview, we weren't asked for them but volunteered them when asked for our proof of bona fide marriage. Ours were very simple, just letters starting 'to whom it may concern..' and then going straight in to describing how they knew us, what we are like etc. One was handwritten and over 2 pages long, the others were shorter and typed. We did it at the last minute so they weren't even notarized, but the interviewer still seemed to like them and said it was good that we had them. If I had seen those examples before, I would have made sure we did better ones, but they seemed to do ok! Good luck at your interview.
