damn senior stewardess/stewards

The correct term is flight attendant, they get angry if you call them stewards :P

And that's correct, I feel they should hire nicer and less sour flight attendants, not all of them are but they should take complaints into consideration and put those with bad temper behind a counter where at least they are not enclosed, like in an airplane.

And if you call them "Hey b1tch I'm talking to you!" they get even more upset :jest:

And the Dr. should sue the airline big time. I guess the stewardesses did not take the "rational discernment" course in steward-school.

That flight 'person' was totally over the line, however, I think if I were boarding a plane with a special need, like having to urinate frequently, I'd talk to the crew before the plane takes off the ground. I would have shown them my credentials as a doctor so as to ease their minds a bit should they see me frantically darting for the bathroom during the flight.

HAL 9000 thinks this would have been a wise thing to do.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

people should know by now to not fly Southwest

If you get a minute, go read my experiences with United. (I have a post on my profile)...isn't a whole lot better! Although the stewardesses were, for the most part nice, except on that was about 24-26 years old. She wouldn't let up on the young guy sitting behind me, barking orders out at him, took his MP3 player from him. I must say he kept me laughing though, she told him twice to put on his seatbelt, ...to which he replied very nicely, "with all due respect lady, what the hell do you think that piece of strap is going to do for me when we hit the ground at 200 miles an hour!" She was not impressed!

He said post Sept. 11, passengers have to be extremely cognizant about their demeanor aboard aircraft.

"Well I do think that 9/11 put a different level of sensitivity to any type of behavior inside a confined space and that confined space at 30,000 feet is very delicate and something you don't want to mess with," Headley said.

Because what you do in the air can have serious consequences on the ground.

Oh my god..

I was just flying SW a few months back for a PR gig at our company's hosted convention, I was not only drunk on the plane, but I was talking loudly to other people across the isle from me (I was in a window seat), and people were having a good time.

It's very clear that the only good time you're going to have is if you're white and have blue-green eyes like me. This is ridiculous. What good are security measures for if they're going to just pick people up off the plane randomly? Idiots. If they have to take someone off a plane we need to consider why the #### they let them in, in the first place. This is a lot like the 9/11 response. Instead of making security BETTER, just made it BROADER. This does nothing to fix the problem.

the bolded below bugs the hell outta me.

According to court documents, the flight attendant Lora Lee Minton said Madduri used his right shoulder and "physically pushed Minton out of the way. Minton found this contact to be offensive."

offensive? not threatening? so all one has to do is offend an flight attendant?

Your lucky I wasn't on the flight.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Why? Would you have started a fight with a drunk? I can imagine that would have improved the situation enourmously.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Doing a tough guy act over the internet is as ludicrous and irrelevant as listening to a sex scene on the radio.

BY only has to whisper secret codes words into his sleeve. Things happen.

I think the issue has been missed here. The problem is that since 9/11 anyone in a federal position has been given WAY TOO MUCH POWER and they are abusing it. It has nothing to do with the age of the flight attendants. I think that point has been made clear by the fact that she was in her 20-30's as Charles stated. They have TOO MUCH POWER and feel no need to use customer service skills, treat us as human beings that have paid for their service, and feel very free to do as they please. DHS and anyone in a position at the federal level seems to be taught extreme paranoia and to use their power in any way they deem fit. They really scare me. They've lost rational thought processes.
