The ban was nice. I enjoyed it actually.

There just seems to be some sort of magnet to OT. To see what the resident idiots have posted today or which conservative you are attacking this week. VW was the choice last week.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

How did you guess?

The topic is simple. Poor hiring practices and ignorance of other cultures lead to these incidents.

First of all, we know "news reports", are not always a clear reflection of the event reported.

Seems we have two separate entities involved;

1. the airlines which had a customer who possibly fit a profile, trying to enter the Bathroom where a pilot was.

2. The Govt reaction.

I think the Airlines did the correct thing. I am sure there were plenty of witnesses to clarify the guys actions. And why would you not want the guy screened?

The penalty was perhaps too high, if they determined the guy was not part of any plan to disable the pilot... but rather a guy who would not follow instructions of the crew member.

The thing is; you don't get much time nor many indicators that someone is about to commit a terrorist act in an enclosed area like a plane.

If you have a problem conducting yourself in a manor which

doesn't give warning bells... STAY OFF AIRPLANES.

PS: where were all the sky-Marshalls we keep hearing about on board?

The longer they work, the meaner they get. I see that all the time.

The older workers getting jealous of the younger ones.

The correct business strategy can work around that. Like Qantas which tends to promote the senior more experienced hostesses to become the customer service managers on international flights. Or promote internally to other positions. Win win for wall.

I have traveled on lot of airlines around the world and have to say the US has the worst and the oldest air hostesses. Many who are obviously very bitter. Once again, thank you unions for forcing airlines to keep these old bitter hags on flights. These same hags would have been fired yesterday if they worked for any airline abroad.

I think this should be the new slogan, "American Unions, bankrupting one American industry at a time".

are u stupid? unions are not bankrupting anyone....greedy corporate officers are...who makes more....union folk are the lowest paid people. did u even stop the american people are the ones not buying american products causing bankruptsy. did u ever thing the economy has anything to do with that? open up ur eyes and shut ur mouth and stop blaming the working class citizen for the problems in america.
