I posted last night asking about this in another post, but maybe I was too flippant in the way I asked... or maybe no one reading VJ last night knew the answer. Maybe the daytime crowd can help...

This "letter" we got for our son, saying he is included on his dad's (my husband's) Removal of Conditions petition, does not look like any NOA-1 that I've seen... it says all the right stuff, from what I know (not much), but is just on a plain white sheet of paper... no letterhead, no NOA form, just a bunch of typing and a stamped signature.

Is this what others have gotten when petitioning to remove conditions for a K2 dependent?

And has anyone travelled internationally using this document? How did it go?

Thanks for any feedback/prior experience anyone can share...

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

There are a couple of people on the CSC list who have K2 listed by their names. Perhaps you could send them personal messages to get a response?

Timeline for Naturalization:

Day 1: Application delivered to AZ

Timeline for Removing Conditions:

Green card received 117 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Timeline for AOS:

Green card received 120 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Good idea Mrs. S... I hadn't even looked at the CSC list, and I hadn't seen any K2's noted on the VSC list.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, one of them appears from her profile to be suffering the breakdown of her marriage :crying: and the other one applied separately for K2's removal of conditions (ie, not included on parents' application), so maybe I'll cast the net a little wider and ask on the OT forum... our situation is apparently not as common as I had assumed!

Ah good! Thank you for your response! It provides a level of comfort to know that this is how it has gone for others. I am glad to hear that he will get an extension letter of his own later, as we would like to travel to Nepal next June, and I doubt we'll have their 10 year greencards by then, and I just can't imagine handing this letter to CPB as proof he is a PR... it looks like anyone with a computer could've generated it.

Thanks again, and I will try to be calm...

Best wishes,

Maya
