Hi, I'm new here and I will post my timeline here as well. I am curious if anyone has ever done DCF in Mexico and what the process was like (timeline too)? Also, if it is a visa case that will definitely require a waiver, is it possible to DCF in Mexico or would I have to go through the U.S. and eventually Ciudad Juarez? Also wondering if this is possible because my hardship packet wouldn't be exceptionally strong if I'm living in Mexico, right? Here's my timeline:

1997 - husband EWI to U.S. from Mexico

2005 - we met working together in California, fell in love

2006 - husband back to Mexico, I follow him to Mex., we marry in Registro Civil

2008 - still living in Mexico on an FM3 visa and our son was born in Mexico (May)

~I'm currently in the U.S. temporarily, but mostly because I thought I had to file my I-130 here...any help/insight would be greatly appreciated! I have checked many posts already in the DCF forum but haven't found much regarding Mexico. Oh, our closest Embassy is in Mexico City -- we've been there already; when I filed my sons U.S. citizen papers. Thanks in advance!

Im in a similiar situation except i haven't moved to mexico yet but am seriously considering it to DCF but am also concerned that it would hurt my waiver w/o any income from u.s.

would really like to hear what others in similiar situations did or experienced with DCF especially if they had to do a waiver.
