Wow, has this turned into my country is better than yours?

Doesn't it always...

BY, your list is entirely subjective - but quite funny.

Better weather? Subjective indeed...

There are (surprisingly) people who don't like humid, 100F summers.

I prefer winter. Always have.

What was the population density like again?

In AUS I mean.

Make a point before asking a question.

Plain :P for you.

See even regular people are mean machines over there

Don't know about that. You see, I actually have an aussie working with me and I can't complain about the mean factor. Must be some kind of genetic thing.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Yes, but we are giving away really cool weapons for it, sponsored by Johnny Depp:

Keep the ss away from HAL 9000 unless I have a HAL 9000 wetsuit.

Well they are in science after all.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

So I'm going to go ahead and generalize and say that all Brits prefer winter.

On the OP it has a lot to do with the (poor) quality of the news media and general levels of education. If a person was born in a small town, lived there all their life and didn't travel outside the country - its a fair guess that they're likely to be somewhat insular in their views.

Same is true pretty much anywhere - I've met some shockingly ignorant people at home in the UK, so the idea that this is somehow peculiar to the US does little more than pander to stereotypes.

Aye they do. We take our holidays in Norway and Iceland.

The bare-chested, lobster-red lager louts you bump into in Spanish and Greek holiday resorts must be from some other country ;)

I particularly liked the "better landscapes". As we all know, Turner desperately wanted to paint the Australian desert but had to make do with English pastoral scenes. Shocking!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Yes I'll just remember those St. Antony (Ibiza) crowds as merely Germans being annoying.

Well its hard to make deserts look not bleak and barren I suppose. Hardly Thomas Kincaide chocolate box material ;)

BTW - the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen is in Bavaria near the Austrian border.

SoCal has a certain appeal to it as well.

Yep - don't forget to get up early so you can claim a sun lounger. As we know those disappear pretty sharpish whenever German tourists are around ;)

Were box jellies on the list? Saltwater crocs? Killer Kangaroos?

that list is only if you are not near water. add in box jellies, crocs, and great whites, and it's a wonder anyone survives down there.

Oh but what you can do is avoid smelly kids and head to Ses Salines, south of Platja d'en Bossa's discos to one of the cooles beaches where you can just make generalizations about pretty people sunbathing without the loungers.

Its like survival of the fittest or something like it. Kill or be killed. 'Cause you know those old SNL 'Land Shark' skits actually got started with Great Whites knocking on aussie doors.
