Hello all,

I know some of you don't visit the other forums much, and I wanted to write a quick note of thanks to all of you who lent me support and advice thus far in our visa journey. Our NOA2 arrived the other day, so Vika and I are one step closer.

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

N400:
4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

Ensure your beneficiary makes and brings with them to the States a copy of the DS-3025 (vaccination form)

If the government is going to force me to exercise my "right" to health care, then they better start requiring people to exercise their Right to Bear Arms. - "Where's my public option rifle?"

Seriously guys, there are several of us within a few hour drive from each other. Once summer/spring rolls around we should definitely have shashliki in the park somewhere. It would be cool to meet all of you in person.

Timing sounds good. Viktoria has now decided that she needs a few weeks after our interview to wrap things up in Ukraine. I think that will put her ETA some time in February.

Congrats! :thumbs: It goes much quicker from here. Waiting for that NOA2 was by far the worst pat for us.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Finally I was able to schedule a January interview in Kiev. I was told that consular will be closed the entire week of Orthodox Christmas, so the 12th was the first day available. I wonder if the consular section in Moscow will be closed that week too.

Congratulations! Dang dude, that's only a few days over a month away! Woot!

Moscow will probably be closed also, because they'll likely have to let their RU employees off.
