It's funny because they are relocating a lot of government workers from here to there and will pay to help you move. Pity my department isn't going.

be thankful you're not moving, the council tax is horrible here! and lets not to mention all those students haha!

what is council tax like there? I was actually curious as to what areas were most expensive and it seems more than half are up north/midlands

it's just too much. you have to call a premium rate number to pay and they only collect our rubbish once every forgnight.

oh ok! i know where you mean, there's a huge site here. those are the people that drove up property prices and taxes in the first place.

but actually that's good news for me, hopefully someone will want to buy my house. thanks for the tip.

taxes, the council tax here is wayyyy too high! and rent is high too. sorry i didn't mean to offend you, i'm just not a fan of it, hence my plans to move.

My council tax is £600 a year.
