Stop moving threads out of the regional forums please

I think Charles does an excellent job as organizer, and I'm surprised to see the kerfuffle over this.

If someone wants "only their regional friends" to know about an approval, why not simply send PM's? A general announcement does indeed belong in the general section, so others with similar timelines can follow along.

I think Charles does an excellent job too. We all make mistakes, I don't hold a grudge.

Heh. Actually we're way ahead of you. A month or so ago we talked about "liberating" MENA, but I think we eventually decided on a UK forum invasion because they're even more highly strung over there than MENA. :) (true story actually, not a dig.)

You know I luvs ya RJ, but this is a straw man argument, and in fact your entire argument against regionals has been a straw man from the start. I don't know if it's because you are intellectually incurious with regards to the regionals, or if you honestly believe they dilute information from the main forums, but there's just no evidence to support your position.

At last check, the main forums seem to be doing just fine without our pelmeni recipes and "Russian chicks are HAWT" threads. (the real reason for the RU forum: to keep the misogyny contained, it's true Ewok told me in a dream.) Scrolling through the mains I still see the normal collection of classics such as "ZOMG WE GOT REF WE ARE DENIZED???????!!!!!11," "3 MONTHS STILL NO APPROVAL I GIVE UP!!!!!!!," "2 days, check not cashed, WHY DOES USCIS HATEZ MEH?!?!?!" and "MY WIFE SCAMED ME FOR GREENCARD!!!" posts.

So...why the vitriol? The regional forums are there for you to use, but nobody is forcing you except possibly Charles who feels bad about his mistake and will now begin moving "AOS" and "IMBRA" threads INTO the RU forum, true story! So don't use the regionals if they are not of use to you. But your arguments against them hold no water. Except the UK forum, which you are ironically 100% right about. That one has been trouble since the beginning and as you know I have been petition Ewok mercilessly to have it merged with "Introducing our members," and I think he's this close to breaking. Sorry UK forum, but we've all had enough of your "tyres" and "motorways" and whatever the hell a "cheque" is. And don't think I don't see you over there...Canada. :angry:

quite wrong there. i don't feel bad about moving the thread and as previously covered, it wasn't a mistake. the only thing i feel bad about is you making a spectacle of yourself about it all. and don't hold your breath for aos and imbra threads to show up in the russian regional either.

Oh god, now Charles has moved all of the IMBRA and AOS threads back out of the RU forum because the guilt of making such a huge mistake is eating at his very SOUL!!!!! For the love of god, somebody stop this guy, he is a post-moving MANIAC and cannot help himself!!!!!!
