Hiiii,

Well as some of you know our petition got received in Casa on May 22nd. Being the person that I am I started emailing them right away with no answer. So today I decided to call, even though some say it was too early and I shouldn't worry or contact them yet but I just figured it couldn't hurt and to just try.

So I called and talked to someone who transfered me to an Arabic recording 3 times so each time I hung up and tried again. Then finally I said please I am trying to talk to someone about whether or not my petition has been received, and he said to send an email. I said I have sent 2 with no reply and he said you need to wait 2 weeks so I bent the truth a little and said it has been more than 2 weeks. Then he transfered me to someone else who then transfered me to someone else and I was on hold for about 3 minutes then a lady answered and asked for my NVC number and names and she said oh yes Hicham is scheduled for June 27th and we have already sent him his packet.

I am probably the most persistent person that I know, especially when I want something and it paid off!!

So anyways, the interview is JUNE 27th!! YAY!!

ps. When I called I believe I dialed 2 then 0 for an operator.

Wow, they give you an interview date before you send in the packet? I hope you get all the forms filled out in time.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

Ah, that's different from Egypt then. In that case, I hope that he gets all the I-134 stuff in time ;)
