1.Where do i get this from in Kolkata?

2. How long will it take to get one?

you need two kinds of Police Certificates. One from the local police station and one from the regional passport office where your passport was issued. for the ones from local police station, you have to obtain a certificate from everywhere that you have lived for more than 6 months after the age of 16. so your answer: your local police station from kolkata. hope this helps.

Where can i find people who are in the IR-1 process from calcutta?I actually want to know where I have to go to get this certificate in kolkata.Like in hyderabad its not just from my local police station.

My husband is not from Calcutta. Just from India. I would start by going to the local police station in where you are at and ask them. I haven't seen anyone post here lately that is from that area. Keep waiting for a few days and some one might pop up.

As previously said. One from regional passport office and on from local police station.

The regional passport office is relatively fast. Maybe a couple of days.

The local police stations in India are taking approx. one month. They are valid for 6 months.

Iam from Kolkata...You can get the police certificate from your local police station. Alternatively you may contact Regional Passport Office in Brabourne Road to issue a police certificate. Also I have one question.. Can you email the choice of agent form before receiving it from NVC? Please let me know.

hey thanks so much ...ya I stay in Hyderabad now and my passport is frm hyderabad,so I would need one from the hyd Passport office only. And as i stayed in calcutta as well for over 6months aftr closing 16yrs I need a PC from calcutta and also frm Hyderabad as I have lived here for over 6yrs now.

Am I right?

hey AD my process has not begun yet as my husband is still waitin to get his citizenship.however I have already checked what the choice of agent form is and what details u need to fill in.
