Hello. I have some problems obtaining my employment verification letter. Unfortunately, my company doesn't make it easier to obtain one, so I was thinking to save time, is to send my copies of recent check stubs and bank statement of my salary deposits. Would that be sufficient or employment verification letter is a must to send? please help.

Thanks

There is no global answer as to what is required evidence... In some consulates it is very little and others it is much more. If you are unable to provide a particular type of evidence the only thing you can do is the next best thing... Current check stubs seem like a reasonable alternative.

YMMV

Does your employer give you an 800# to call to verify employment? I know a lot of companies do this instead of writing employment letters, so you can still give the embassy the 800#. If not, then try to gather as much as you can for the interview, copies of tax returns with corresponding W2s, or tax transcripts, pay stubs, and bank statements. Just in case.

Yes, my company gives that stupid #800. Who's gonna have the time at embasssy to call that # and verify employment. But, I didn't know I can still just give that 800#. I am gonna keep trying to get that letter, if I don't then I will hand the 800# along with my pay stubs and bank statements.

Thanks

Considering most #800 numbers do not work from overseas, I doubt it would work.

YMMV
