NOA2 Received! - Question about next step

I finally received our NOA2 yesterday - nearly 150 days after filing.:dance::dance::dance::dance: The notice says that the petition has been approved, and has been forwarded to the listed consulate. I assume they mean consulate listed in the petition. My understanding is that the petition now goes to NVC for processing, then to the embassy in Kiev. Is this not correct?

Thanks to all for your support and advice so far. VJ has really helped me to better understand and cope with the process.

Yes National Visa Center is the next stop... it's usually pretty quick (two weeks or less). After that your packet goes to the embassy. Check the embassy web site for instructions... in the Philippines once you clear the NVC you can schedule the medical, but it may be different in your case.

Good luck!

Hi Brad and Vika,

Congratulations to you! I'm so happy for you BUT I'm soooo envious! :crying:

Today Mike called USCIS and he was told our case got touched on Nov.6.

The online status still isn't working but we sure hope we were told right.

We pray that touch is our NOA2.

Congratulations again to you! (F):luv:

xoxo,

Gracey
