My wife and I had an arguement yesterday regarding the date that I wrote in every application for my AOS. I'm planning to send my AOS this coming Thursday, Nov 13, 08. When I told my wife that all forms were dated as Nov 13, 2008, she got mad at me. I asked her why? what's wrong with #13, she answered me that it's not a lucky number. I told her not to believe any supertitious belief because I trusted GOD for everything and I had faith on Him that evrything will go smoothly. I was little bit upset 'coz I'm almost done with my AOS papers. Again, I printed every last page of each form including 12 pages of biographic info. So now, all forms were dated as Nov 12, 08. I had a second thought about what she just told me of #13. What if I dated all forms as Nov 13, 08 and later on my AOS application will be denied by USCIS for some reasons or otherwise? What do you think guys? Sorry it's little off of topic but it's still related. Thanks!!!

I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Surely you have something better to worry about than a date on you application. Sheeeezz! Just file. No reason to be denied if you're a real couple.

Well, I don't blame your wife for believing in "numerology", but still I don't think the date would matter much for being denial or getting any RFE.......coz they will provide reasons to you, like you forgot to submit certain documents.

I hope you can communicate with your wife well, I don't filling out forms are stressful~~ but if she believes in numbers, then correct it then....printing paperwork again is fine....you don't want her to "blame" you all the way till you get the green card on hand :P just kidding

Both my husband and I don't really like the number 4, so I tried to avoid the date on 4th, 14th or 24th, but I still don't think it really would affect our applications. It mostly matter what we feel about it. Just make her feel better by changing the date then~

P.S. All these just my personal opinions.
