if u file AOS u need to use your married name, and of course change your signature.

Whatever last name you want to use for the rest of your life on your immigration documents, then use that name. If you want it to be your husbands last name, then fill out your AOS forms with your husbands last name. USCIS will know its legal as you send in a copy of your marriage license with your AOS. So go ahead and use your husband's last name as your last name on the AOS forms.

To tell you kababayan, my wife's last name has been changed after we got married. It's not easy to change everything, it's time consuming. I think it's not a big deal to use it as long as your SSN information has been changed to you married last name. It's really up to you.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

For AOS, you don't have to use your husband's name. You should file using whatever name you will use for the future. But if you decide later to use a different name, you will have to pay to change the name on your greencard, so file using the name you plan to use.

To change name legally AFTER marriage, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. The marriage itself allows you to legally begin using your husband's last name. You can take your husband's name, or any combination of your first, middle, or last names. It may be confusing to people how your maiden name became your middle name, but it shouldn't cause too many problems. You don't need to change anything BEFORE you get married either.

hi,

it's simple, if u're already got married use ur husbands name and change everything,so with ur signature......(Except for ur school diploma)hear someone before that she would want to change her school diploma to her husband's name....i told her she can't ,since it's her educational attainment when she was still single)

and when i got married i contacted my sister( a lawyer) i asked her to make me affidavit of change status

so that i can make use it for my driver's license renewal and for some other proof...
