Have you contacted the embassy for your options? shouldn't they be able to tell you if they can expidite it? and what they would want from you?

I know its another call center and its costly but i would give it a try.

I hope he gets better soon. (F)

According to the OP's timeline, the petition is not at the consulate. It is still stateside at the Service Center.

uscis.gov has a page devoted to expedite filing. This is where the petitioner needs to go to learn about the procedure.

Unfortunately, it is up to the petitioner to seek the expedite, and depending on his present health, he may not be up to the task.

Is there not another visitor visa she could apply for in expidited manner? I mean directly at the consulate? Concidering the time it takes after uscis or that really be her quickest bet?

That might depend on why she is VWP ineligible.

My fiance the us citizen has been admited to hospital oringinally with a hernia but they had to operate and remove part of his intestine which was wapped around his bowels. We thought he was out of the woods but they have discovered internal bleeding.I am in such a panic, what can I do?? Would the embassy even entertain an emergency visitors visa, or can I expedite the K1 as he will be bedridden for months. There must be something he needs me now!!!!

Hi,

Really sorry to hear about your bad news... I know you must be worried out of your mind... Just wanted to let you know that if you are from the uk, you dont need to apply for a visa ot visit the states. the US and UK have a visa waiver program going on so both countries can visit without applying for a visa, its valid for up to 90 days.

hope this helps..

God Bless

I'd request the expedite, the worst case is they say no, but I think there is a good chance they'd say yes.

i agree with you, the worse case they ll say no but its worth trying, who knows? Afterall you have a good reason to want to be here.

You're probably very worried right now, but he will be fine. He shouldn't be bedridden for months because of the surgery. Sometimes it can take more than a week for the intestines to start working again after bowel surgery and he will be on a liquid diet until some "noise" comes out the end, but they will have him up walking asap. He will probably be doing quite well faster than you could get an expedite. Every case is different, but I've been close to several people with complicated intestinal surgeries with large sections removed and just reporting how it went for them. Very sick puppies at first, weight loss from the diet of jello and broth, but did not spend months bedridden. You might find it easier to try for the visa and go see him now and ease your mind.

The OP has already said that they are ineligible for the VWP.

I'm afraid I can't add anything else. Either try for an expedite or apply for a B2 visa. Good luck with everthing.

I have heard of two expedites for K1's for extreme medical emergency for the USC. Both were VERY serious (stage 4) illnesses.

As Rebecca stated, your best bet is to provide all medical documents you can from your fiances medical staff and any other documents requested and hope for the best.
