JP its so funny to see this post from you today, I was just thinking about you this very afternoon and wondering how you are doing - you seemed to disappear after Taleen arrived. I hope all is well, I know those first few months of motherhood can really send you on an emotional roller coaster. She is absolutely gorgeous, love that chocolate pic. I'm surprised you didnt have a donut propped there :P !

I was thinking she should have one with a cookie in her hand!!!

Totally adorable JP!!! :luv:

Thank you ladies, I missed you all so much!

Transition back to work is hell. I must say every morning when I drop Taleen off at daycare I feel horrible. I feel like I am slowly losing my connection to her. I know that is silly because I'm her mom, but maybe because its only been a week.

I really wish I could quit my job and stay home with her. This morning she didnt want to wake up at all, so I have to force her to wake up and give her a bottle so we could leave. I don't like taking her out of her crib and putting her directly into a carseat so I do my best to get her up before.

WHEN DOES THIS GET EASIER?????????????

Thanks for sharing. She is tooo cute! (F)

It's very hard returning to work...I miss the babies every minute of everyday and my hubby/father are home with them during the day. I know it is much easier on me because family is watching them and no one could love them more...but I know that connection you're talking about losing and I felt the same way for the first month away. It does get easier, I promise. (F)

For me it got easier when I had my second so I suggest you get to work missy!!! lol. Seriously I used to feel all that loss for the first few months that I had to go back to work but once the second baby came things changed. I had planned, with the second to take a full 3 months off but with 2 babies in diapers I seriously couldn't wait to get back to work so I could have my coffee in peace and quiet! And for what it's worth, both my kids were in daycare since they were around 3 months old (my youngest was 2 months old) and they ALWAYS know who mommy is! CAlling on a certain schedule helped out a lot too. I'd call around 10am, 1pm and 3pm to check up on them. You'll be ok, just try to take your mind off of it. Eventually I went down to part time working 3 ten hour days/week but times were better back then. *sigh*

Yes, Kelly and I are already planning their wedding.

Don't you just love arm rolls? LOL She was born with them. I can't believe how fast she grew and how chubby she has gotten. She currently weighs 14.9 oz., the Dr. says that is fine but I can't say I'm not concerned. She is already getting out of size 2 diapers and she is only 12 weeks old!

How old is Ayah now? She is so cute! I love that dress! I think Ayah and Taleen have the same taste. :star:

I keep telling myself that but I guess it will just take time. Last week was her first week of daycare and I cried in the car all the way there everyday. :crying: I'm doing better this week but I still hate it!

Not to mention I pick her up at 5:30 and we get home around 6pm, she goes to bed around 8:30 so I only have a couple of hours to spend with her and she pretty fussy because its teh end of her day and she is tired. :crying:

I changed my work schedule and still have the same schedule today. I work mon, tues from 9-4, wed from 9-7, thurs from 7:30-4 and fri from 8-6 (at home). Maybe you could try to work something out where you get out earlier a few days a week and only suffer the other days. Most companies are ok with this nowadays.

Yes I had irish twins. I found out I was pregnant with Megan the day before I went back to work from maternity leave! My boss yelled at me and asked "don't you use condoms or something???". Back then I cried but in hindsight I could have sued his buttage.

oh and btw emily was a big porker too! She was a wee bit over 30 pounds when she was 1!!!!! Now, she's 12 yrs old and just got up to a size 0 in the junior section so no worries momma keep feeding her!

A beautiful little princess, she is precious. Enjoy her, I wish America would get with the rest of the European countries, they get a nice time off with their babies and get paid in full. I think it is awful that we demand women to go back to work and separated from their babies so soon. With the economy you can't take a chance in losing your job. She will be fine, and she will grow to a wonderful beautiful woman.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I would love to change my work schedule but in this economy Im thankful to have a job and don't really want to push it. Then again, I'd be more pushy if I had Irish twins!
