I guess they can be a little slow mailing stuff out at NVC.

I received an RFE recently. It was generated on May 19 (Friday). They told me it was mailed out that same day. They lied because the envelope was postmarked May 23(Tuesday). And I received the letter on May 29(Monday).

The letter that they sent out on May 26 to you, must be the checklist saying you are missing info (meaning the DS-230).

The same thing happened to me back in March(?) or April (?). I got the same automated response like you did. This is what happened to me:

First, I got the letter saying I was missing info (the letter stated I was missing the DS-230).

Then, I got the actual DS-230 a few days later. But the automated response system didn't say anything about generating the DS-230.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is you may not hear them say that the DS-230 has been generated. It's great you have your package all ready to be sent out. I'm sure you'll get that "document missing/incomplete" letter or checklist soon. And as soon as you get it, you can send out your package.

Good luck!

Pharmacist, that happens when you're faster than the NVC. We had the same thing happening a few months back and it turns out that they send out an RFE when your I-864 has been accepted but you haven't submitted the DS-230.

My advice at this point is wait for the letter they send out last week, and return the DS-230 with the checklist. Even if the other letter were generated by now, sending in the DS-230 without the checklist would mess things up because they need it to complete your case.

Sorry that you have to go through this, but you're almost there and hurricane season is still a few week off. Good luck...

same here, had that message about 3 times, even after they had received DS 230 again (after message had changed to " we have received your checklist letter response on..."

Nothing to worry,if the operator says all is good. There seems to be two places at NVC and they don't always communicate well.

You will get DS 230 soon, or a checklist letter. Answer to it and you'll have case complete real soon.

When I called the automated system the voice said that they are waiting for the biographical data from the beneficiary. I finally got a live person on the phone last night and he told me that meant that they'd sent out the DS230 form (it was mailed on 5/31) and he was also able to confirm that my AOS was accepted. Hopefully the person you spoke to knew what they were talking about and that form is on it's way to you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

We got the same message, as previously posted it happens when you get ahead of the NVC. We also got another message stating something was missing and they were sending a checklist. With everything going on at once through the NVC, I guessed it was what you are having problems with, but it turns out they did send a checklist. Because, we sent off the I-864 before my mother (co-sponsor) had filed her 2005 taxes, the checklist was for a transcript despite already sending them 02, 03, and 04. I got the checklist after our case was approved, and am to post it to my hubby for him to take it and the requested transcript to the interview. So maybe it could be something like this as well, no biggie and easy to deal with. We would have had to take the 05 financial information anyway.

You should wait for the letter. There is no reason for any concern. Did you try to speak with a live operator?
