AP & passport!

CO gave me blue slip in which he mentioned me the original Translated marriage certificate and he also showed me the green slip and he said besides it your case also need some administrative processing. He said you have to send us the original translated marriage paper.

Green slip was for AP and blue slip was for missing document.He also asked abt my passport.

So he put me on AP and as well as in missing document.

Whats does it mean?

ur case will prob undergo AP, which is common now, nothing to worry about. but do send in ur orig doc they are asking for. and see what happens after they receive it.

hope u dont have to go into AP. it is a really frustrating thing, but has become common for some embassy and will be resolved within few months inshAllah.. dont worry

call up DOS and see what they say after few days,maybe u can try next week... if ur case is undergoing AP, sec clearance etc, then DOS can tell u that..

This is the normal procedures for Islamabad - may take 2-12+ months. Prepare for a long wait but hope for a short one. As soon as you submit the missing doument AND your name is cleared through security checks, you will recieve the visa.

Yes ofcourse in these days i m just focusing on the missing document,which i m gonna submit with my pasport in 2 weeks.

How many days they can keep your passports while they put on AP?

I have heard that the new AP which r on for these days r getting less time as compared to previous.

I wanna know that should i contact to congressman or senator for this coz my wife is really not well she is very sick.

CO also told me that if u think your visa is taking more time then you can contact to congressman or senetor.

Should i contact them?And if yes then when?

Will it work?

I was under the impression they did not take your passport unless they are putting a visa on it. My husband was put in AP and they did not keep his passport. Other people who have been on AP, once their case was completed that was when they were requested to submit their passport.

I am hopefull that a more experience person in your embassy will help you.

Yes this is what i was thinking abt that why they could ask abt a passport while you are on AP.
