I been driving since Feb 2008 and got my DL last Jun 2008. When I passed my driving test I drive by myself 100% at all times. I was making sharp RIGHT TURN on ramp unfortunately I ended up left side of the road(ditch) for driving too fast. Everything is different steeringwheel is so soft, accelerator, and brake (I could use my finger tips to drive). Anyway, I didn't hit anyone because it was my turn to go on ramp(Controlled by STOP SIGN). Everyone got out in their cars and helped me out.(Embarrassing moment). I did asked my insurance if I get ticket but they gave me vague answer. I don't know...should I dial DMV-CA :help:

I think, I'm little bit impulsive about this.

This is my question:

1. Do I get ticket from DMV? (The police who made a report didn't give me a ticket.)

2. Am I going to get points on my DL even I didn't hurt anyone nor damaging government properties? (I checked DMV site but I don't think I fully understand what they meant about 1pt.)

3. Am I reckless driver?

I appreciate your advice.

Thank you:

Jenny

AFAIK

1) No

2) No

3) No, well maybe, but not solely as a result of this incident as I have never seen you drive :)

This is my question:

1. Do I get ticket from DMV? (The police who made a report didn't give me a ticket.) most likely no

2. Am I going to get points on my DL even I didn't hurt anyone nor damaging government properties? (I checked DMV site but I don't think I fully understand what they meant about 1pt.)not sure about that, but where I live you can go to the driving class afterwards to restore points if you wish. Your license shouldn`t be suspended

3. Am I reckless driver? no

I appreciate your advice.

This was an opinion based on US driving experience

If you didn't get a ticket then you're lucky and I wouldn't go asking for one :bonk:

I'm not asking for one but I want to know. :huh:I'm relief now. I don't want them to drag me in court for not paying my ticket. (Some of my friends told me that they may mail my ticket.)

DMV is never the issuer of tickets--responsibility is delegated to local, county or state police.
