im waiting for my passport to get back to me, they called me thursday for more info and i sent it and they said they would send it on friday, do they send it regular mail or priority? how long does it take to get it back

It is sent ExpressPost and you have to sign for it personally.

When did you send it? I'm trying to figure out how long it will take to get mine.

If you are a Canadian living outside of Canada you need to submit your old passport along with the full application (previous guarantor policy applies) and mail it to Quebec. My husband renewed his last year from New Jersey (he holds both Canadian & US citizenship ) and it took about 6 weeks to receive. Check out the website for more info.

If you are a Canadian living in Canada and have a previous adult passport you can use the new simplified application. I renewed mine shortly after getting married this summer to reflect my new name. I submitted the application at the local passport office on a Monday and received my new passport that Friday via Canada Post.

I received my new passport by courier in the US and had to sign for it as well. The whole process from submission to receiving the passport back (I also sent it by courier) took less than 2 weeks - that was last February.
