Hi,

I had a few questions and I would apprecaite your help! My wife came here on an k3 visa, she has already been approved for i130 and 129f, my wife currently is here in USA on the finance and we need to do adjustment of status and so i had a few questions:

Few questions:

a. What is form i-94? I do not remember receiving this when my wife entered. I came with my wife just to make sure everything was smooth. Please assist on this one, and how do i get another i-94 number if i do not recall receiving it. Can i can another i94 number? Does some

one on a k3 get a

b. in the g325a, its asking for an alien registration number, does someone that comes on a k3 have an alient registration number? i

c. In form i-485 in part c -part a it asks the following: 'Nonimmigrant Visa NUmber'. What

number is this? Is this the WAC # or control number on the passport?

Please help!

The I94 would have to have been filled out by your wife, and then CBP would have stapled it into her passport. Anyone entering the US on a visa *has* to fill out the I-94, there's no way around that one.

The A number is on her visa in the passport as well. As is the Visa Number.

See above in the Guides for all the info, as well as the example forms.

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for your reply! Its going to sound like a silly quesitons but:

1) The a number is that the same as a control number, or is that just the passport number, i dont see the a number directly? Sorry can not find the answer to this.

2) I do not have the i94 attached with the passport.

I (Petitioner) actually went to pick up my wife so we came together, so if the i94 is not attached to passport what to do???

The fact that you came with her is not the reason for not having an I-94, as I travelled with my wife and both she and my son got it. Did she fill one out on the aircraft prior to arrival?

YMMV

Yes, we filled it out. The visa officer even took her to speak with her for a few minutes, but we never received the bottom portion of the i94. Its not attached any where.

So in short in all the forms where it asks for i94 i do not know what to put?? Any ideas on what to do?

Also what is alien registration number? Should my wife on a k3 have one? What is nonimmigrant visa number should my wife have it on k3? I have checked sample forms but there is 1234567 some random number, so i can not tell what to look for in the passport.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND QUICK HELP EVERYONE!

Question: What to do if your I-94 is lost, has incorrect information, or was not stamped by a CBP officer when you entered the United States

Answer:If your I-94 was not stamped with a departure date or was filled out incorrectly, you may go to a local CBP Deferred Inspection Site (DIS) or port to have it corrected. Many offices have limited hours for administrative work, so call ahead to make sure there will be someone

available to help you. If your I-94 is lost or stolen, you will have to replace it. You may also go to either a Deferred Inspection Site or port for this. There is a charge, although if the CBP office is able to determine that the I-94 was inadvertently not placed in your passport, they may waive the

charge. Canadians are not routinely issued an I-94 for business or pleasure travel. If one is needed for the purpose of filing a request with CIS, one can be issued at a DIS. If you have filed an extension with CIS and the new I-94 you received has errors the correction must be done by CIS.

You have to have an I-94 somewhere, if they didn't staple it in your wife's passport, they handed it to her and she put it somewhere. If she doesn't have it, I think you have to get a replacement one. I have no idea how to do that, other than to go to a border crossing with evidence that you entered legally and the date that you entered.

Yes, she has an alien registration number. It is on the visa, and starts with an A. The visa number is on the visa as well. It is in her passport.

You may need to file form I-102 to fix the issue

From USCIS web

Note on Where to File for I-102:

If you are filing to replace a Form I-95, file this application at the local office having jurisdiction over where you are temporarily located.

If you were not issued a Form I-94 at admission to the U.S., or are filing this application with an application for extension of stay or change of status, file this application where you are filing the accompanying extension of stay or change of status application.

To request to correct an inaccurate Form I-94, I-95 or I-20ID, submit your application at the local office having jurisdiction over where you are temporarily located. Contact that office for further instructions.

In all other instances, file this application with the Service Center having jurisdiction over the state where you are temporarily located.

It really is right there on the visa itself. Shiny page very colourful, put in the passport by the consulate after the interview.
