I'll send you some homegrown Kona brew. Locals take absolute pride in their beans here.

Personally, while in Canada, I became addicted to my House blend Grande at $2.10. I've finally detoxed it out of my system.

Pure Kona, I dream of that. Even while spending significant time searching on several islands of Hawaii, I could not find pure Kona. Always a 20% Kona - 80% Columbian blend... Why is that?

Its much much cheaper. 100% Kona Brew is $20-$30/pound. Worth every dime though.

Personally, I'd rather take a pay cut in the face of a lay off any day, so long as I was making enough to meet my obligations.

Absolutely. I'd stay even if I wasn't making enough to meet my obligations. I'd rather make enough to meet some percentage less than 100% of my obligations than make nothing at all.

Is this the litmus test of the workplace today? You would take a pay cut to retain your job? Seriously? I guess I have my head in the sand.....................

I guess I meant in terms of a tight job market right now. Its better than trying to look for work with 30,000 other people with the exact same qualifications. Let alone 300 from your own company.

Under normal conditions, I can barely be motivated to do my own job for regular pay.

Cat please mail me coffee. In trade, I will take care of the MIL.

Amby, if you want coffee its yours!

I did my best to keep Starbucks in business, through good times and bad.

That makes me a Patriot.

Did? Past tense?

That makes you a pinhead! A true patriot would still be at it.

Ok - I'm going to buy a half-caff non-fat grande soy latte first thing tomorrow morning.

I understand that, yet am confident that jobs ae out there....looked at Monster or Career builder lately? My current role was captured from Monster; although surprising, very profitable after 3 years.

Isn't coffee just coffee? None of that fancy stuff, good old fashion Colombian coffee beans. If I want to eat a candy bar, will do that instead. Menard's was selling Chase & Sanborn 34 ounce, remember when they put three pounds in that can for three bucks a can. Did buy a couple of cases, but all gone now, wish I purchased a couple of more. I did lay out five bucks for a cup at Starbuck's when stuck in downtown Chicago, just asked for coffee, but that five bucks would keep me with two pots a day for over a month. Instant coffee to me is better than that stuff and served in a mug, not a paper cup. Have a 12V water heater in my car, motorhome is no problem with a microwave and a gas range if I want to take the time to make a good old fashion pot. Thermos are now available that keep your coffee hot for over 24 hours.

Ha, in the military we would fill an sock, a worn one is better, with grounds and toss it in a pot of boiling water and let it simmer for a couple of hours. Now that was a real cup of coffee.

I went nuts and purchased a Cuisinart DCC-2000 maker, damn thing crapped out after a couple of months, sent it back and they sent me a new one, still in the box. Maybe I will give it for a wedding present to someone that I don't really like. Give me an old fashion pot for making coffee.

starbucks like krispy kreme was a fad....

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Starbucks sux... With way overpriced, over roasted and totally inconsistent product. No loss to the consumer, sorry for the job losses.

If you need good coffee, check out Whole Foods Market....Small batch, fresh roasted beans, from fair market trade countries. Indonesia, Columbia and Kenya included. What a treat for the coffee consumer!!!!

Find one near you: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/all/index.php

Grind and brew it yourself, if you want a good value and a better product.....

Grind and brew is fine for drip coffee, but decent espresso makers are seriously expensive.

Grande? You should be going Venti. And buying a pastry on each visit ;)

Seriously... I saw a guy buy 8 espresso shots in a single cup the other day. I wondered if he were trying to commit suicide or something...
