I posted this in Gary's thread but want to bubble it up in case there is sufficient interest (4 or more people). If you're interested, please send me an email but only if your interview has been recently cancelled under IMBRA. Also it would be helpful to get name, country, SC, NOA1, NOA2, and the cancelled interview date in the email. Let me know whether you have a preference for Sunday or Monday evening. Good Luck!

Folks,

I would like to offer a conference call for those who had their scheduled interviews canceled under IMBRA. Email me at milestogo0310@hotmail.com. If their are more than 4 people interested I will set up an 800 number and give you a code to participate. Also I will publish an agenda. The purpose will be to share information and speed our processes.

Name: milestogo

Fiance country: Russia

SC: VSC

NOA1: 04/03/06

NOA2: 04/12/06

Interview: 06/29/06

Canceled: Yes

I will post the same suggestion that I posted in Gary's thread

Going by the Draft I-129F the only thing that I can see where members maybe able to get a head start is to obtain court and police records of any of the listed offences if applicable. That way when an RFE is forwarded any necessary documentation will have already been obtained. There is no other way of speeding up this process no matter how much everyone wants there to be. USCIS/DHS has the reins on this....period.

In addition those that did happen to meet through a marriage broker need to make sure that they have conformed with the requirements of such.

All the bet to everyone

I'm not as certain. I think collectively we could share and learn much and at this point gaining even a day or two is helpful. Also there is some power in collective unified action. I'm particularly distressed that many of us rejectees met in ways that don't seemed to be covered in IMBRA and should never have been swept up in this mess.

For those of us (I assume all who write here) who do not have any of this criminal activity in their past, is there a standard backround report that one can obtain that shows this? What about those of us that have lived in multiple locations over the years?

USCIS has the access to various data bases to check petitioners criminal history or for multiple filings of petitions.....what the draft 129F asks for is for the petitioners to supply police and court records which will match those records. Just as the beneficiaries/applicants have to supply same for their interviews. The only difference I imagine is that our police certificates are done generally on a fingerprint basis as records aren't accessible by either the DOS or USCIS. The draft says that these reports must be submitted if any of the listed offences apply. It does not say that a report has to be submitted if there is no criminal record.

People that meet through marriage brokers is only a part of this act despite the acts name. It is not only for those meeting through marriage brokers. It is also for all those filing K nonimmigrant petitions in general which includes K-1 fiance & K-3 spousal.

I wonder why they ask if you met through an agency then in the draft form. I guess this will all become clear over time. Time that could be better spent with the one's we love. Talk about your unnecessary laws...

For those of you that have lived in Multip-le locations it does not make any difference. The probation department in your local court can get what we call a CORI faxed to them within an hour. it lists any criminal charge brought against the individual in any state in the USA. The p[ossible restraining orders may be another matter.
