Waiting for Packet 3

This might be a silly question but I've read in some cases people have picked up their Packet 3 from the consulate or had to call to get the consulate to actually mail it!

Mine *should* be arriving any day now and I was wondering - they're suppose to SEND it to the beneficiary right?

Thank you in advance! :bonk:

Yes it goes straight to the beneficiary - you can email to see what is going on - and then you may get an automated reply, you can wait a week and then reply to the automated reply (if you havent heard anything) and that has a good chance of pushing things along a bit - that is what I did :)

Best of luck !

I haven't received a new case number yet :(

I tried emailing the consulate last week and they just told me to call the USCIS

I called USCIS and was told that it arrived at my consulate and they have no new information.

I have twice, the second time the lady told me that the NVC has nothing to do with my petition once it gets sent to the consulate. If I want any information AND to get my case number I have to contact the consulate... easier said then done.

Yeah...The forms are generally sent to the beneficiary on the tired back of the local pack mule. The wierd thing to me is, they also sent (Thailand) my Young Lady the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) to her, but I need to fill it out and notorize it, all that business. Wierd. Is this normal? Fortunately, I have good internet access and can download the form here and do all that stuff easily.

Feb 16, 2006 Sent I-129F

Feb 27, 2006 NOA 1 Notice Date

May 8, 2006 Received NOA 2, Notice date: May 1

May 22, 2006 Received NOA 3, Letter dated May 18! Papers SHOULD be in Bangkok "within a week"!

June 3, 2006 Jat Received Packet 3! But for some reason, they also sent her the I-134. Thanks folks, that's REAL convenient for me!

July 15, 2006 The Young Lady recieved Packet 4! Interview is scheduled for August 15! WOW!!!!

August 15, 2006 Approved! Wow!!! Now on the The Next Step!!!! ;)

September 6, 2006 She's Here!

October 4, 2006 Hitched!

I think you should try again .... Unless they changed their policy in the last few months or so they should be able to give you your NVC number if you give them your USCIS number ....
