Hubby just filled up at $1.87. He drives for work, so the plummeting gas prices have really helped us - $100 a week in expense savings is pretty significant.

I saw gas as low as 2.09 around here. This is nice relief - and all that without any extra drilling, baby...

Oil is apparently overpriced right now. Some predict that the bubble will burst and oil will be in the $70-$80 range following the correction. That'll ease things a bit in the short term....

$9/gallon - unlikely.

The IEA (International Energy Agency) says in its report (to be published this week) that

oil prices will rebound to more than $100 a barrel as soon as the world economy recovers,

and will exceed $200 by 2030.
