I don't understand this very well but I thought there were curbs put in place on shorting commodities?

There are NO restrictions on short positions in commodity futures. Never have been.

You can short them to the ground.

Stocks, options - yes. Or at least there used to be before the SEC voted to repeal the

uptick rule. Now - not so much. Well, there's something called "Regulation SHO", which

doesn't regulate much. Then there was an emergency order temporarily banning short

selling of financial stocks which has now expired... so all is good again.

Gas is $1.75 in Speedway, IN It's about $1.78 here in Greencastle.

I need a 1000 gallon tank I can fill up so I can hoard gasoline.

Good call Platy, gas will go through the roof again.......My tank holds 13 gallons.........Should I buy reserve? Perhaps....Yet I am not willing to buy a big tank.
