Hey Guys. I just got my Approval for my K-1 Fiance Petition. I just wanted to let all you out there know, and gain a little hope!! Papers were received July 23 and showed up on the internet as July 28, 2008. Status is STILL Received and pending, but I have received a hard copy of the I-797C telling me that the paperwork has been forwarded to the consulate in Juarez.

Keep Hope guys!!!!! It was a real surprise to me, but something is still happening there in Vermont!

I-797 accepted Nov 5, I received in mail today (Nov. 10) Best of luck to you all!

Many congrats to you, and appreciate you sharing. The unfortunate thing is, for us K3 I-129F filers, the evidence appears to point rather convincingly to the fact that VSC processes K1 fiance 129F's than K3 spouse I129F's. One of my good friends locally had an NOA1 of mid-march, and his fiance was in the States by mid-july. His NOA2 was in 58 days.

Basically, I think your story helps to support what many of us who struggled with going the K1 vs. K3 route are coming to realize. Our choice cost us time, at least us VSC filers.

Now, I know a few of you K1 filers have been on the hook for a long time also, and I have seen some of you with time frames that rival us K3'ers, so please know that I know you're out there. But - in general - when you look at the overall volumes, the evidence is pretty darn clear that the K1's at VSC are outpacing the VSC's in terms of speed.

I meant to say in the last sentence that the K1's are outpacing the K3's.

I have pointed that out to my congressman as well ;)

Congrats on the speedy approval! I wish you guys a great life together :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Congratulations! Update your timeline! (oops, just noticed someone else wrote that)

I didn't understand this statement: "But - in general - when you look at the overall volumes, the evidence is pretty darn clear that the K1's at VSC are outpacing the VSC's in terms of speed."

Do you mean K1 outpaces K3 at vermont?

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm snooping on the July's to see what's in store for us August filers. I CANNOT WAIT!

The only reason I filed K1 was because on the net it said it was faster. We're getting married over there (but not on paper)...whatever gets her here faster, I'm all over dat!
