In recognition of Veterans' Day and Remembrance Day (Canada) I offer the following:

In Flanders Fields

dang, I forgot to make a cake! (I actually did one year :D )

I made myself a paper poppy to wear, got a few strange looks at work today but only one person bothered to ask me about it. James gave me one of his little ribbons to wear tomorrow to go with the poppy. He said he got it for baking cookies. :lol: Those Marines are strange I tells ya! ;)

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

I wasn't killed, not even injured, but a very long and uncomfortable six years of my life, have to work today, but wonder why I do and the USCIS and the postman get to take the day off.

I have to work too, it's not a holiday in the UK. I'm not bothered, it's just nice to recognise those that put their lives on the line.
