I am in the process of waiting for my interview. I have been calling once or twice a day. Do you think that they mark your file every time that you call? If so, how many calls are too much? I just really want to know if we will have an interview in Dec or not. I am addicted to calling to see if I have an appointment yet. How many times did you call before you were told you had an appointment? It's pointless to call USCIS because they won't even look at your case so I don't even ask. Trying to get through today not calling again so this thread will keep me from hounding them. Sometimes I think that I should stop calling and let them process our cases. Do they have people who are dedicated to answering calls? These would not be the same people working our cases right?

Your case is no longer in the hands of the USCIS, but with the Consulate in Australia -- under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State. Two separate bureaucracies. Give the consulate another month for routine processing, and unless there is some complicating factor, they will contact you when you are ready. The USCIS "customer service" staff are dedicated to answering calls, but are probably not even physically located in the same city where your case was being reviewed.

Oh I know. My case is completed at the NVC. I was just saying that I would pose the question to USCIS'ers but that would be pointless since they won't tell you a word. My case was completed at NVC and am now waiting for an interview date. I can't help but calling everyday to see when that is.

I understand ur situation. Once I find out My case completed on Nov. 5. I called them about 5 to 6 times in a day (different time). After two days, I was being told that they just closed for month of december for Mumbai embassy and I am not in. And as usual response, you will receive letter from us (NVC) within 6 to 8 weeks.

But I think I will find out interview date in first week of december from NVC operator.

In your case, if ur embassy is allready full for month of december then u just have to wait like me. I hope u don't have to wait and u will get december interview.

My suggestion is try calling them every night around 10pm until u find out interview date. Best of Luck.

I don't think that you can call NVC enough. I called daily, waiting until after 5pm so that they could process for the day.

Best suggestion that I can offer...call, call, call, call, and call. Who cares if they are annotating how many times you call. They are there to provide you with customer service..its what they do.

Hello,

I am glad you asked. I was wondering that too. My case should be completed this week and since I am in New Delhi, maybe there will still be some openings in DEC. I probably will be waiting with adinath521. We can keep each other company. :secret::pop:

My case was completed Oct 9th. Last week they said maybe Dec. Yesterday, they said Dec is full in Bangkok. So wait goes on... This will be my 3rd holiday season without my wife. We've been together for 3 years and married 2 1/2. She originally had a J1 visa but had to return to her country for 2 years. That's the main reason for the long time but government processing is taking forever on everything. I believe I started with i130 in August of 2007.

My husband's case was completed October 30th and we still don't have an appointment either. The weird thing is they keep saying the have already scheduled all the embassy appointments for November and I should call next week to see if I got in for December. I keep thinking to myself that they already started the scheduling for December and pointed that out and she still just said call back next week and that they can't be sure when I will be given an interview. I plan on calling again tommorow night. I know it could be a couple more months before the schedule the interview but it makes me feel better to keep calling. There is no one else waiting on an interview for the US embassy in Jordan right now so I can't compare and see what is going on. I just know others from before had to wait 4 months to get their interviews after case complete.

I hear ya. I don't see anyone else on here waiting for a Sydney interview. I called last night and they said they are full for December. The waiting goes on.... Cried myself to sleep. We are pretty broke but with the help of our parents are going to try and scrape up the money for the 24 hour travel to Au. We just can't bear it. Maybe we will get a January interview and I can be there to go with him. Keep me updated on all your cases.
