Okay so I know we have a long way to go! We received our NOA1 Sept 15 so we know we are in for a long ride. But today I got very down and started thinking what if this doesn't work and our lives are on hold and then we are hugely disappointed. We like everyone else are putting our life and heart on the line. Can someone assure me that if we follow all the rules that this will happen? I am starting to get very negative. I keep telling him it's 100% (the visa). I just need to hear someone say it is if we play by the rules. The wait is making me so sad and I hate being away from the person I love. Thank you!

There are no guarentees. And, there are sometimes stumbling blocks along the way. But, if everything is filed properly and if you and he are able to adhere to the rules, it will be fine. If there are issues, there are usually ways to fix them. Very few things aren't able to be fixed and most of those have to do with issues with arrests and/or jail time or drugs.

You need to look at this in a positive light because it is a very long and stressful process.

I wish you the very best of luck. You CAN do this.

Breathe in. Breath out.

There is no point in thinking about what may go wrong. You'll just stress yourself and your SO out and then you will both be miserable and whats the point in that? You need to be patient. Think of this time apart as a mini-vacation because once you are together, going through AOS, adjusting to living together and all that other stuff its no bed of roses

Focus on the positive and keep yourself busy. If something goes wrong then worry about it. No one can say that you will definitely get the visa, there are too many factors to consider, but chances are more likely that you WILL get the visa.

Good luck :)
