Stinky obviously you were an expedite case right?

I am one of those my case showed a touch on the 3rd, case was still pending.

We received out hard copy on Friday and out of curiosity checked USCIS and it still says pending............go figure

After Thanksgiving, I am not going to be any polite to them ###### people, be it a rep or an officer. I am just fed up with their bullshit now.

Well, I tell ya Desi. I know how you feel. Almost 7 and a half months on the I-129F, and supposedly an officer has had my case for 10 days, and I can't get them to tell me squat now. I have no idea whether I'm 2 days or 2 months out.

After many months of being skeptical about it, I am finally starting to contemplate the whole "call your congressman" route. Opinions vary on the effectiveness of this, I haven't seen any concrete proof that a congressional inquiry led to an approval, although some on here believe it did in their case. At this point I don't know what to believe. I just know that continuing to sit and stir is BS, when I'm staring 8 months right in the face.

I looked at Igor's List today, and the VSC approvals for K3's last week on his sheet was pathetic, when compared to the last 2 weeks. Don't have a lot of faith this week will be much better, with a 4-day work week for those flunkies.

Okay so I called VSC 3 times today just to check if I get different Officers... But to my surprise, each time I got the same officer "Teressa"... That tells me that despite all the delays and system glitches, they all are in the spirit of long weekend and may have taken the day off -

YELLING ($%^^#$^%#$%^#$%^#$%^#$%@#$@#$@!#$!@#^$*%^)

You know this was the funniest post I've ever seen on here, you got the same officer. LMAO...I got to ask you, what did you say each time? Wrong number, what did you say?

Not to add sour grapes to whats already a bitter taste for most of us but Tuesday is a Federal Holiday, VSC will likely be closed (and/or minimal staff working) & DHL announced layoffs of 9500 employees today - thats a heavy hit to the process (and those employees families who will no doubt experience another kind of challenge). God bless them too. All of it just further complicates an already stretched to the limit system.

I thought VSC had less petitions than CSC - not accounting for the recent system problems but how could they get sooooooo backed up?

Didn't they recently transfer cases in August to help alleviate this problem?

I never heard of a system experiencing problems for such a long period of time. That kind of problem wouldn't go on private sector (or state level) - they would be out of business (or damn sure close to it).

Trying to keep a positive outlook & good karma around me & my family - but damn, this is ridiculous ...

DHL is closing their domestic (state-to-state) operations. Their international operations might be affected during this transition, but it shouldn't be catastrophic.

Agree, but in my agressive style, I would say that's their (DHL & USCIS) problem; however, ultimately we end up suffering.

My own selfish needs wants this process done & for me to be living with my husband doing all the wonderful & exciting things we've planned to do together.

However in the bigger, grander scheme of things it looks like I'll be making a phone call to my cousin to see if her DHL employeed husband was affected by this news (I didnt know it was state to state operations) & with today being Veterans Day & him being a Vet, I'm sure this doesn't come as good news to her family on a day thats supposed to be celebrating her husband and countless others.

For so many reasons, I'm so bummed to hear this news. As always, prayers & patience to us all ...

I don't think DHL's international operations will be affected. Its image is already dented due to recent announcement. Now, if it lets it international operations (which is supposedly going strong) affected, it would loose additional customers only to add to its woe of not having enough market share. Just my thoughts. No need to worry on that point.

This thing about the system being down is all we needed, han? Plus this DHL problem...

I hope they fix this sh... and give us the approval we need before the end of 2008! Man, I can't believe I've spent most of my first year of marriage apart from my husband! At least my husband is coming to visit me on Thanksgiving so right now I feel kinda good. But I know after he goes back to the US, all the anxiety and suffering will come back until I can have an idea of WHEN I'll be able to "start" our married life.

People keep saying "call VSC" or "I just got off the phone with VSC", when you call aren't you talking to someone at a national call center that fields calls for all USCIS? Or can you actually call an agent at VSC?

Around 14 months and waiting here.

Look at my earlier post in this thread and it tells you how to contact VSC directly.
