For someone who doesn't usually go crazy for christmas, I am SO EXCITED to do this, thanks trailmix!

Do you collect anything?

Besides collecting dust at Vermont Service Center? Hmmm I don't think I collect anything. I don't even have a christmas tree to collect ornaments. Shoot, this is going to be tough for anyone who gets me.

Favourite Treat

Oh this one I got, I LOVE anything gummie, gummie worms, dinosaurs...you name it. Oh and coffee (but not flavoured coffee) like different blends - Kenyan, European etc. Chocolate covered nuts or coffee beans also get me every time

Favorite color?

Red, LOVE red. but black is cool too!

What Christmas colors do you use?

I don't typically decorate nor do I have a tree but I do like the colours blue and silver for christmas

What is your absolute favorite thing to shop for? (like: linens, stationery, games, clothing, food, vases )

My nephew! Ok that obviously don't help. I love to shop for things for myself like food, yarn (I knit like an 80 year old woman) and socks. I love crazy types of socks. things that smell like cinnamon, yay!

you mean I would have to have the box sitting here and not be able to open it...?? that would drive me crazy ...lol

Me too!!! I'd probably have to have my hubby hide it somewhere...But I'd probably still go hunting for it lol

And Canadian_wife I think it's hilarious that you 'knit like an 80 year old woman' and  krikit.

Well to save Maeve's from having to tear apart her house to find her hidden secret santa gift, shall we pick a date or just wing it - either way apparently Marilyn can't be trusted with it

see my thinking is if someone sends you a Christmas ornament or something, you want to be able to enjoy looking at it..

I say we pick a day a few days before Christmas to open the gifts....

Due to popular demand...I say we just open them when we feel like it - I love anti-rule rules

Ok, with that being said, I will be going to NS for Christmas on the 19th, so I will wait until the 18th to open mine, or after I get back home :)

I know I'm not participating in this (I have several fairly stressful upcoming events and I was afraid I would get distracted and not do a good job on the present front), but I just wanted to say to everyone .... have fun and I wanna know what everyone gets so I can live vicariously through you :)

I LOVE that picture of your son in the pumpkin, Autumnchik! And the one reaching out to you right next to it - how adorable!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I love the pumpkin!

holy ####### stacey, way to fast for me! haha I'm looking this weekend.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
