Hehe, mine wasnt broken, the woman gave me the wrong one :( and Unfortunately I havent shipped it off yet. I will be sending it off with all my other Christmas cards by Friday for sure.

Krikit, you should be able to get everything you need at the post office even. :)

Thanks! I only ever see flat envelopes at the post office. Do they come in different sizes, do you think? Maybe they only ever put out the flat ones and you have to ask for everything else. Oh! I'll just look on the USPS site! Yay for technology!

I have my Secret Santa gift. Now I need to find a box for it, get some mailing paper and wrap it, then mail it. Where does one purchase items such as those?

I know places like Walgreens sells stuff like mailing paper and boxes...

Okay I gave my husband the gift today to bring into the city to send because I don't have time to go to the post office. I didn't wrap it either... I just found a nice decorative and reusable box to put it all in.

I gotta go to walgreens to get a decent box to put my gift in. You know what though? It sucks because by the time I get off of work, most post offices are closed already. I think I will have to go on saturday!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I feel bad now because I just put my gift in a box I had lying around here... I did wrap the presents though before I put them in the box and then I covered the box with mailing paper...

Mine will be mailed out tomorrow. My husband "forgot" to do it today. AND HE TRIED TO DENY IT!

I asked him via email if he mailed it and he said: "Yea"

and thats it.

Right then I knew he wasn't being honest so I said: "No you didn't!" :P

He was all: "HOW DID YOU KNOW!? :o"

Oh don't try to trick a wife! We are far too advanced for your trickery!!

I am mailing mine tomorrow!!!!! (I hope.)

As an aside, I received a box today from my Newfie friend in Nova Scotia. I haven't opened it yet.... I kinda like the suspense. But the thing is literally MUMMIFIED in clear packing tape with a note from the USPS saying they're sorry they damaged it and they've packed it more securely now. (Or something to that effect.) At first I looked at it and went "what the?.... how does she expect me to get into this?" Oh. And it cost her almost $20 to ship it! :o

I will be mailing mine out this weekend. Apparently they don't make boxes to fit the box that I bought... so my husband says and I asked him: "Couldn't you have just taken it out of the box and mailed it seperately?" and he said: "Yea... I guess I could have..."

Soo I told him to take it home and I'll take it out this weekend. I should have just done it myself but he works right by a post office and I don't have the time to go out during the week to send off packages. :P
