Hi guys!!! A filipino friend of mine went to the US last year & after a few days, she asked me to mail her Knorr cubes & sinigang mix! My adobo will never taste the same if i use kikoman instead of our regular soy sauce!!! Hehehe!!!

Also, do u think customs will allow it if i malunggay seeds?? LOL

do they not have asian stores there?

I was able to buy datu puti soy sauce and vinegar here in texas. there are maggi cubes and mama sitas... i was even amazed that they sell Durian fruit here, chippy, piattos..

look for asian stores at your place, search via internet.

I did not bring any food with me on flight to US, because i dont want to keep on answering questions from custom. I did bring some Coach purse though, about 4 pieces and i was not questioned about it.

you can search via internet too. what you can bring and you cant on your flight...

Goodluck.

Hello Sassygirl876 and yes there is an Asian store in West Lafayette and an actual Philippino store in Terre Haute and I go there at least once a month when home and not here in the Philippines. So I can get what you want if in stock there and when in USA can supply you with the phone number for the stores. Take care and stay in touch.

We found a very large Filipino grocery store in Cerritos which also has a Chow King and a Red Ribbon in the same building and is just across the parking lot from Jollibee. There is also a Goldilocks just a few miles away. Claudeth as been able to find many things she couldn't find elsewhere in this grocery store.

Claudeth had been looking for this powdered milk she liked from the Philippines. The store in Cerritos carries several different sizes so Saturday I bought her the 3 pound size. She drinks the milk like she eats the rice :P I am buying rice in 100 pound sacks now

Same here. We have SEA FOOD CITY here and basically you can find everything you want. There's Jollibee, Max, Chowking and Red Ribbon :) Only that the price is almost triple :((

About your Malunggay seeds maybe its better to send thru postal (package). I saw before in Cebu Post office a woman sent malunggay seeds to Canada. but if you want malunggay leaves you can buy at Asian or Oriental store, i buy malunggay leaves (Horse Raddish) weekly for my Tinolang Manok. Just ask the sales clerk or Cashier wheres the Horse Raddish leaves just try to see in the frozen goods it is pack in a small plastic bag.
