eeew.. Bank of America are b@stards, no offense. We changed from them, fed up with their constantly finding new ways to take our money then telling us it's in the new terms and conditions!..

A former co-worker of mine once told me she worked as a bank teller for a local bank here in Colorado and she hated it. They made her life a living hell and wanted to fire her for whatever reason possible. When they couldn't find one they made one up. So the reason why she got fired is "dirty hair". Yup they fired her because she supposedly had "dirty hair". Unbelievable!

Well, when you just moved to the US teller job is not that bad to start with. I personally see myself staying in banking industry for good. There plenty of negative and positive in every job.

It is a good job to start your career in the US...I am working for Chase Bank, so proud to say that the company is taking care of me (and all the employees). They pay their employees good and give good benefits including matching the 401K dollar to dollar.

And Mononoke28 I think your friend is a liar..lols...managers dont smell your hair before you open your station... or maybe she stinks that the customers complain about it? Just a thought...

I worked as a teller for about 6 years before I finished my graduate degree (in English...no relation to the teller job whatsoever!). I worked for 2 different banks and a credit union. The CU was by far the worst. The banks were both excellent pay, great benefits, and nice people especially for a single mom working her way through college. I quit only because I couldn't get the hours I needed to go to school.

There are worse jobs to start out with, IMO.

Uhmm, no she's not the lying kind and when she was crying when she told me the story. I actually felt bad because I couldn't stop laughing about it.
