Hi VJ Community,

We got a setback at the medical exam, about two months for further testing on a sputum test. My Fiance is concerned that all of our paper work, such as the DS forms, Document Verification and Visa Application will be expired by the time we get to the interview. Has anyone had this problem? will we need to update any of our paper work? as always your advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

The DS forms could always be reprinted anytime which will only cost the paper and the ink. as for the visa application, if I am not mistaken it is valid up to 1 year. I don't think DV will expire in two months since it usually take them a month to 3 to even process that so if the set back is only 2 months all your docs should be ok.

NBI is valid for a year, BC don't have expiration (though some say USEM requires it to be just 6months, personal experience says otherwise- my kids BC was 4 months old when we had the interview but mine was more than a year old)... check passport coz it should at least be valid for at least 6 months... medical also, it is valid only for 6 months and those who had to undergo TB treatment usually needs another round of medical exam after they complete the 6 months treatment.

hope this helps. Good luck and God bless.
