My husband got a letter yesterday (dated around 25 October), first he thought was our approval because we are going to wait 7 months for it, but it was just our expedited denied.

We applied on April that expedited, because my father-in-law is sick and now he is worst. I`m feeling completely disrespected because they simply forgot our case. And I`m worried because I want to meet my American dad in person.

Normally they give some aswer or the same month of application or 1 month later, but 6 months is ridiculous.

And we hadn`t any updated in our case status at USCIS website, since 20 June.

Now, I think we can ask something to Senator because of that BIG MISTAKE from USCIS. I`m sure is happening the same with others applicants in VERMONT CENTER SERVICE!!!!!

I`m really frustrated about it!

I will be grateful for any return!!!

Hi, I hope you will consider reading and sending to Congress a letter I composed about the long delays we are experiencing with USCIS. If you check my posts, you'll find it. I wanted to be proactive and help others, not just my husband and me. Well, about two weeks after I mailed this letter w/our receipt numbers to 9 members of the US Senate Judiciary Subcommittee that oversees USCIS, I saw "approved" online (on the website). I was shocked! My husband and I are humbly thankful, of course. Truly, I think that letter helped us b/c a few days b/f we started getting responses from the senators' offices. Consider editing this letter to suit your needs and sending it off; it may help you guys, too. All the best--Amor1

It's a shame Vermont is taking so long but had you asked here, we would have advised you that there was little chance of expediting the processing of your case based on the health of the US Citizen's father.

Thanks MMartinez and Pushbrk. It`s a bad situation that I want to persist now in that letter. Now I will run against the time because I want this case has an approval sooner.

I read your topics MMartinez and I want to make the same. Congratulations for your approval and your pro active attitude.
