Sarah Palin blamed by the US Secret Service for provoking death threats against Barack Obama

I'm going to go out on limb here and predict that Sarah Palin's political future on a national scale is over. America got to know just who she is and responded accordingly. And like Paul Begala said on Bill Mahr's last night, 'You can correct ignorance, but you can't change mean." Her divisive rhetoric will never bring her beyond a core base of followers. She'll be another Pat Buchanan - someone who seems to resonate a sentiment among some Americans, but never a significant number....and thank God for that.

I don't think she is as bad as all of you seem to think, but I also don't really like the idea of her being president either. She doesn't put that kind of confidence in me. It will be just as well if she doesn't try to enter the race four years from now.

As much as I dislike Palin, sometimes people take things the wrong way irregardless of the intention of the message. Palin shouldn't be the responsible one. It only take one incident to initiate the judgement of "this is wrong." When someone is firing straight at you, someone has to take the bullet.

Obama is such an inspirational character. I am deeply saddened that alot of people don't sees him that way. Through adversity, he accelerated to the ranks of Senate. And, even proved that he can achieve an excellent education. It's very easy to ignore the difficulties of going into Law School, especially Harvard Law School when you or those who haven't even stepped on that path. I know that path well. Not everyone could get into Law School.

His education is just a part of his inspiration towards my life, but, his path that got him to where he is at is the most moving to truly grasp his adversities.

I'm saddened that lots of people see BO as inspirational. I also attended elite schools and the Ivy League, as have many others I know. If you have done it, you know he's not all that. I would have more respect for him if the media hadn't done so many unethical things to help get him elected, and I would trust him more if he actually said something with all that talk. I'm still waiting for him to do something that helps me to understand what people see in him.

The things she said about Obama during her Convention Speech and campaign speeches was reprehensible, and many among the GOP establishment agree. Again, much like a Pat Buchanan - she's alienated herself while attracting her core base. I hope she stays in national politics. She's a great recruiter for the Democratic Party.

Her future isn't over. Not by a long shot. What you don't see in Palin, I don't see in Obama. It's not up to those who never liked her to know what her possibilities are.

I 100% believe you. Praise VW.

NOT! VW should know better than to call someone a terrorist when they've been in the Senate for years. Or, even better should realize the difference between a republican who uses solid proof to prove a particular point and those who just use gut-feelings to make themselves feel better. And, knowing you come from an IVY League school, you should have an all better reason to scrutunize a particular accusation.

Name another pol besides BO and Palin who attracts the kinds of crowds they did.

It doesn't take much to be called a terrorist these days. If it was just some random guy you heard about with his connections, do you think you would feel the same way?

He has palled around with terrorists and other radicals. There's no denying that. And there was LOTS more that Palin said besides that. You people have been victimized by an unethical medai that is now admitting that they did all they could to get him elected.

Speaking of feeling, there'a hell of a lot of feeling replacing thinking going on when it comes to this BO character.

That alone is conclusive to me that you did attend an IVY LEAGUE school. I wonder what you wrote on their English placement test when you enrolled.

I never thought you did. It's all that stupid laughing you do about EVERYTHING when you have nothing intelligent to say. It takes you absolutely no time to go for the personal attack because you have nothing to say. That s an empty-headed tactic, too.
