My husband and I had our immigration interview for Permanent Residency on Oct. 23. The interviewer said he was not prepared to make a decision at that time and that we would receive a letter when he reached a decision. We have been married for almost three years and had lots of proof of a bonafide marriage: 2 children, we own multiple business together, house, ect. However, my husband entered the country 8 years ago on a tourist visa. The visa stated that it was for a 5 day honeymoon. My husband and his then girlfriend had applied for the visas, but postponed their marriage due to some conflicts. They decided to come to the US to spend time together and see if being away from family for a few days would help their relationship. When they arrived in the US, she left him (with plane tickets, I-94, and all). He stayed here, and five years later, we married. At the interview, he was asked to give a sworn statement about his enterance into the US. Has any one else had this happen? I felt very confident going into the interview. However, when the interviewer requested the sworn statement and began asking questions and typing my husband's responses, I became very concerned. There have been no updates on our case as of yet. Any similar experiences or suggestions?

Not really, the problem here is that he entered the country not knowing he was going to marry you but to another woman. I wish you luck and hopefully they will see that love lasted 3 years and there is no fraud
