This is a silly question which I must nonetheless ask because someone has planted a seed of doubt in my mind, and I have since become quite nervous. My fiancee received her K1 visa earlier this year, valid for the normal six months. We live together in her country, and as that expiry date printed on her K1 visa is nearly here, we are preparing to go to the USA together. So we will be arriving in the USA only a few days before her K1 expires. I need to clarify the following. That "expire" date is just the date by which she must enter the USA, right? Once she enters, she will be given a different "expire" date that permits her to stay a full ninety days before we marry, right?

Right. The validity of the visa is 6 months. Once she enters she will be given an I-94 (arrival record) which will be valid for 90 days in which you must marry.

Good luck. Happy travels.

yes you are right that date(expiry date) is for only when she can use her visa..once she gets here an I-94 will be stapled on her passport and will give her 90 days to marry you...
