Because it is calling attention to, and trying to belittle him because of, his mixed race.

The words african american, calls attention to color too.

But isn't a term used to belittle a person.

That said, I hate the term "African American". It applies to almost no one.

It is belittling, the words are used to seperate someone based on color which can also be called racist. Negro, african american, black. All the same shite.

First Black president? This in itself brings so much attention to color. Jesse and Al have gotton rich off of racism, its big business. Until all labels are removed its business as usual.

I do have to agree that there has been too much emphasis placed on his race in relation to the election. However, for people who actually ARE black, it's a very big deal. For blacks in the US, this is the ultimate sign that equality is possible. Ergo, while I personally think there's been too much attention to race, I can understand it.

what an interesting video, thanks for that. it got very emotional at the end, i almost joined in with her.

it's great that all these people who fought all this time for their rights didn't do it in vain. if only those ignorant people out there stopped being racist towards them and accepted them as "americans", which is exactly what they are.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Am I the only one who finds "Halfrican" to be racist and unacceptable?

I say we let Ewok decide if that's the level of racial discourse he wishes to see on his site.
