K1 visa in my Passport: "PET EXP: Nov. 21"

Hi guys

I have a question.

I got my K1 visa approved back in July (2008).

It expires in January 2009. My plan is to move to the US next month, December.

There is one thing that worries me.

On my K1 visa in the passport, there is something that says:

Annotation

PETN: WAC - 08 - *** - ***** (some numbers instead *)

PET EXP: NOVEMBER 21, 2008

PETR: my fiancee's name

A** *** ***

Does anyone know what will happen on November 21, 2008? Will something expire?

Thanks

What does the "Expiration Date" read? (Not what is mentioned in the Annotation section)

Then it (the annotation) must simply be referring (as it says) to the K1 petition and not the visa. (Our K1 has similar annotation information but nothing referring to the expiration of the petition.)

My experience was that when I was at my Point of Entry, the officer opened the envelope which I got my the embassy and told me that my K1 Visa was expired already. Well, I was really unsure what to do because in my passport it states that my Fiance Visa Expires on July 2008 and I received it on Feb, 2008 then he told me that I might get deported. He pass me to another officer and luckily let me pass thru.

What was the date of your point of entry?

Was it after July 2008 or before?

Mine has PET EXP: NOV. 9 that just means when your K-1 application expires, not your Visa. It's nothing to worry about. My actually Visa doesn't expire until Jan. 9 2009 and that is cleary marked on the Visa. I am moving one week today.
