I just wanted to share this - after 8 years of accident free driving in the UK I just took the 15 minute (15 minutes, wth??) driving test in CA, got no minors but failed apparently because I stopped when a green arrow turned red on a right hand turn and did not pull into oncoming traffic (the arrow was red as I approached the line) , this is a critical error for 'failing to obey a traffic signal'.

I was too shocked to argue back, but I always thought it was more of a critical error to pull your car into the path of an oncoming truck...that said, seeing how some people drive round here maybe I've had the wrong info all these years.

Oh well, back to the DMV for me...how I love dealing with US government agencies!

Please don't tell me I'm the only Brit to fail this test...how embarassing!

Happy weekend all,

L

and NO you are definitely not a failure. I'm sure it happens to a lot of people. I'm afraid of failing it too! So we're all in the same boat! Ahh, the things we do to be with our loved one...! B)
