Just going to throw this out there for some thoughts, compile the results, and attempt to send it off to someone at USCIS that cares.

What would you like to see on your Online Case Status?

Besides Approved.

I would like to see a list of everything that has been done with my case. A list of Events. For example:

Received ............ Date

NOA1 Mailed ........ Date

Biometrics Mailed .. Date

RFE Mailed ........... Date

Interview Mailed ... Date

Approved ............ Date

And I would like see the current date of applications being processed for that Service Center. For example:

Currently processing Applications Received on Date

With today's technology this would be very very easy. They just need to dynamically create pages from current data. I still cannot believe that they update the service center pages monthly instead of doing them dynamically.

For those that are not in the know of creating web pages, dynamic web pages are created on the fly from data on the system. This page is dynamic. When you add something, it adds it to the background data and then recreates the page from the background data.

So what do you want to see on your Online Case Status page??

Interview Notice received 1/3/2006

Interview is scheduled for 3/6/2006

Changed Medical to 3/1/06

Interview went great and easy - Visa received 3/6/06

Customs - 2+ hours - 3/6/06

Applied for SSN - 3/8/06

Received SSN - 3/13/06 - 1.5 days to process and 1 day to mail - INCREDIBLE!!!

Wedding - 3/18/06

AOS, EAD filed 3/25/06

EAD Approved 6/23/06

Interview 9/25/06

Approved 9/28/06 !!!!!!!!

Now it starts again

I-751

I-751 Mailed 8/29/08

I-751 Received 9/2/08

NOA1 Date 9/2/08

Received NOA1 9/9/08

Biometrics taken at InfoPass Appt 10/3/08 - still no ASC Letter

Application has Supervisory Hold, Local Office is investigating why 10/3/08

12/8/08 - still no answer from Local Office and still no biometrics letter

12/16/08 - Card Production Ordered!!!!!

12/20/08 - Card Received !!!!!!

Now we wait until 6/20/2018 to renew the Green Card !!!!!

Waiting is tough, but oh so worth it!!!

When they rec'd my case. When do they expect to start working on it. If there is an RFE, then that should be online as well as what they need from us. How many people are in the dark about with what to send to them? Last time I checked we are not mind readers!!!! In a way I wish the whole process was a little bit more personable, I mean they do have our whole lives in their hands.

N-400

10/26/09 Sent application to Lewisville TX.

10/27/09 Rec'd Application signed by B. Conteh

10/29/09 Check cashed

11/02/09 Rec'd NOA date showing 10/29/09

11/09/09 Rec'd letter Bio Appointment

11/17/09 Bio Appointment 8am

11/20/09 Called FBI-Prints were sent back to USCIS same day.

12/03/09 Rec'd email from USCIS that the RFE was a mistake.

12/04/09 Rec'd email from USCIS saying that I have been transferred for an interview.

12/07/09 Rec'd letter for interview on 1/11/10 @11am in Fairfax, VA.

01/11/10 Interview completed. Passed test decision can't be made.

03/02/10 Contacted Senator's office...No reply yet!

03/04/10 Senator office called says can take up to 120 days.

04/12/10 Service request filed.

05/12/10 Contacted Senator's office again.

05/12/10 Told over the phone that I was approved. Believe it when I see it!

06/04/10 Senators office tells me the adjudicator who interviewed me thinks I have a criminal record. Send out all paper work showing no criminal record.

06/08/10 Leave for Canada

06/09/10 Get RCMP certificate showing no criminal record. Fax off to senators office.

06/23/10 Approved for Citizenship

06/24/10 USCIS contacts Senators office

06/28/10 Find out that I have been approved for citizenship and they are just waiting to schedule my oath.

07/12/10 Put in line for oath ceremony....wonder how long that will be!

08/18/10 Called USCIS confirmed they sent oath letter for 09/17/2010 at 9am.

09/17/10 Oath ceremony at 9am..... US Citizen!!!! Applied for passport.

I very much agree about it being more personable. The RFE should be online, even if they just post the generic text with it. It would be really nice to have exactly what they feel is missing for the case.

I don't think that we will ever get the person's name and especially their number that is working on the case.

I thought the US Government was suppose to be "of the people, by the people, for the people" and "that all men are created equal". I just do not understand why immigration and border crossings are not held to this standard, not even for the US citizen.

I am sure I will not see change during our journey, but hopefully in my lifetime.

I'd like to see that something, ANYTHING was happening to my case! I'm in my eleventh month of waiting and I'm starting to get worried...

Karen - Melbourne, Australia/John - Florida, USA

- Proposal (20 August 2000) to marriage (19 December 2004) - 4 years, 3 months, 25 days (1,578 days)

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

*Oath Ceremony March 23, 2012.

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!
