A newlywed couple ended up stuck half-way up a mountain when their sat-nav went wrong on their honeymoon.

Oliver Kohl, 24, and bride Angela, 23, were heading to a luxury hotel in the remote village of Willingen, Germany, after their wedding in Hamm, near Dortmund.

But they got lost as their sat-nav guided them along a bumpy, unpaved forest road toward a tall mountain.

Oliver said: "At one point there was a gate I had to open, and then eventually the road became a muddy swamp and we got stuck fast."

The pair tried for hours to get their car out before having to call cops who sent out a rescue team to get them off the side of the 2,755ft mountain.

The pair were eventually taken to their honeymoon hotel.

A police spokesman said: "It's a wedding night they will never forget."

I wish more people knew how to read a map!
I don't think it would matter. You can't outsmart the stupid.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Yesterday me and two other truckers I work with went to get breakfast. The lead driver was following his GPS. It took us around in a complete circle (about 15 miles off route). That's one of the reasons I don't use one. I love technology, but those things can really get a trucker in a bad situation, especially if you are hauling a trailer, which thankfully none of us were.

In trucking we call them "The ####### in a Box". When someone screws up like that we say "The driver gasket went bad".

I hope that wasn't a Kenworth .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Frieghtliner FLD Classic I think. People give Swift drivers a real hard time out here and I'm starting to think they may be right. I still feel sorry for them though. They barely train them and then cut them loose to go tear something up!

This picture reminds me of a place I used to live, Southend On Sea (according to Number 6 it is the where the antichrist lives :P). We had a long seafront, with really low bridges. I've lost count of the times that a double decker bus would get stuck under it when the driver would use the seafront as a short cut when taking a dead bus back to the depot at the end of the shift.

This is despite the bridge being clearly labelled with the height AND a great big red sticker in the drivers' cab saying how tall the bus is.

Ouch! The bridge in the pic is probably marked too. It's a combination of inexperience and inattention that leads to that.

I try not to judge, lest I be judged with a similar action!
