I-129F & I-130 Petitions Lost???

Hello everyone...I know that I have posted before about my situation but now I have new questions. I am very anxious for the process to begin at NVC. However, it has been just shy of 4 weeks since my approvals. My I-129F and I-130 petitions were approved 10/14/08 and then went to the mysterious black hole. I know that a lot of you have posted that it takes up to 90 days to be recieved by the NVC but this is not the answer that I am looking for today. I know that it does not take 3 months in the mail for my petitions to travel from VT to NH. VSC says that my petitions were forwarded to NVC the same that my approval notices were sent. This means that NVC should have received my petitions weeks ago. I have viewed the timelines and NVC has received I-130 and I-129F petitions that were approved the same day and mine and several that were approved after. It only took a matter of days for NVC to process the paperwork for others. As of Tuesday of next week, I will have waited 4 weeks. Neither agency can tell me where my petitions are. I have called the NVC everyday hoping that they will have my petitions and I can tell that some of the operators are finding it odd that they are not there. I have even been told to email my approval notices to NVC...no responces yet. I have contacted my Senators which seem to be the only people willing to help. I was told by Senator Isakson's office that several inquiries have been made for me to VSC and NVC. Next week they will inquire again and if the petitions have been lost then I have to resubmit all of the paperwork again. I was told that the process will be expedited. Still, I am starting all over again. So, this leads me to my questions.

1. Have any of you waited a month or more for NVC to receive your petitions? How long? What happened? Share your experiences please.

2. Has anyone ever gotten to the same point where they had to resubmitt the petitions and all paperwork? How long did that process take? Please share all details.

Please do not post the scripts that are rehearsed by the NVC. I already know what they say and I already know that waiting this long is not the norm. I have reviewed the timelines.

I would really like to hear your experiences. I am hoping that someone will be able to ease my mind. Thanks everyone!

Hi it happend to me that it took more than 30 days from Nevada to the Consulate, I never knew exactly what happened but the way it was resolved was that I kept calling the consulate in my country in Mexico and they told me that they needed the new number which my fiance received my mail, so giving them that new number they told me that they had sent me already the package, almost like a month before but it never arrived to me, so they asked to resend the package to me, but it was already approved. My case was a K1

My petitions were approved last Friday at Vermont and have not arrived at the NVC as yet. Since I'm a touch impatient :-) and have too much time on my hands, I scanned in every document that I sent them with both petitions. I made a combined pdf file. I emailed the NVC the scanned petitions with supporting documents as well as the approval notice. The email was requesting the NVC case number.

I also emailed the embassy the I129 and approval notice to see if I could get packet 3 mailed to my husband.

I am hoping that the documents are not lost as it has only been a week. I don't know yet if the NVC will do anything with the pdf or not.

Are they saying that you have to resubmit to USCIS? or send the information to the NVC?? Hopefully your files will show up at the NVC so that you don't have to wait any longer. Best of Luck!!

msnoob, so great to hear from you! I also am very impatient and very anxious...who wouldn't be with the wait time at USCIS. My Senator said that that petitions with original signitures and copies of all supporting documents would have to be resubmitted to USCIS because USCIS must stamp original approval on petitions. It is my assumption that NVC only uses approval notices and supporting documentation to investigate the status of petitions at NVC or with USCIS as NVC has to have an original stamp of approval from USCIS. I am really excited with the steps that you are taking with your petitions. I have only emailed my approval notices to NVC so I think that I will follow your example and scan the rest of my documents to send to NVC. Great Idea!

Also, I have seen posts from mmartinez about a letter that was sent to United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and Border Security about the long wait times for approval for everyone on VJ. I have decided to use this very helpful letter as well as adding comments about my own case because no one should have to wait this long. The wait makes everyone a little crazy. Keep me posted on what happens with you petitions and the NVC process.

ok, everyone, here's another question...do you think that VSC is holding my petitions because it seems that I might have been approved ahead of schedule as I have seen others that have applied before me that were approved after me or not approved at all yet???

Hey guys, sorry for all of the paranoia...I felt as if I was crawing out of my skin. Yesterday when I called the NVC thry told me that they still did not have my petitions and the operator also seemed a little irritated and told me to stop calling (what?!). I only call once a day...expecting that my petitions will turn up. Anyways, my luck is changing, I just called NVC again a little while ago and they received my petitions today. Can you believe it? The operator gave me my case numbers and said that my I-129F petition had already been sent to the Consulate. Yeah!
