after getting the great news of an approval i was reading today about the police certificate i have to provide from the British police and now i'm really worried.!

Around 10 yrs ago maybe more i was staying with a friend for a few weeks when the police busted his house, he was taking to the station leaving me and his girlfriend at his place while the police searched the house, one of the offices asked "who's are these" holding some small empty bags in his hand.! thinking it was nothing and hoping to help my friend i stupidly said "mine".! to cut a long story short i was arrested and cautioned for possesion of trace elements of cannabis...

i dont use drugs i was just a dumb teenager that thought he was doing a friend a favour and didnt realise what i was getting myself into, is this going to have a major impact on our case? do i get the chance to explain what happened at my interview?

thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

Well after about 3 1/2 months of checking everyday on USCIS online status and not seing anything today I saw a "touch" at least I feel like something is happening :)

when i checked the USCIS - i got this one

On February 19, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call 1-800-375-5283 to update your address.

GOSH! this makes me think sooo much now... i have to ask my husband if he received the mail so that we can sort out this as soon as possible.

Have your husband look at the case file and check spelling of names, birthdates, and addresses. Mistakes in any of those can easily trigger an RFE.

i need to ask him first if he received the mail from USCIS.. this makes me uncomfy.. Everything was filled up however we didn't submit his passport since it was revoked.. Can we submit a copy of revoked passport? It was revoked due to behind from CS but he is coping up at this time and 2 more payments - he can get back his passport..

I'm sorry for the RFE kath.

Wait for the mail and after receiving it, tell your hubby to submit the additional docs as soon as he can to proceed with the process.

I am excited to share with you all that I just recieve word via email that our I-130 was approved as of 2/23/09! :dance:

Gosh I am relieve!

Anyways, any approx idea before petition reaches NVC?

Also, what documents will be needed for NVC stage?
