Has anyone else been married to USC twice???

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by.

As the process for me going faster now I started thinking about my initilal interview. I came to US a few years ago on a student visa. Met a guy, fell in love, got married. Things started not working out after less then 3 month into marriage. I kicked him out of the house 3 month later. I waited for change in him to happen for a while and then one day realized it is never going to happen so I started gathering stuff for divorce. Meanwhile I met my current husband. We dated all the time me and my ex were getting divorced (which took a year). When my divorce was final I was considering to permanently leave US but my hubby made me feel so good after such an unpleasant prior experience that I deceided to give it a shot. He proposed a few month later . But... he was married at the moment . He has split up with his ex for over two years at that time just never got divorced. 6 month later his divorce was final. 10 days later we got married (L) and live happily ever after!

Well, I`m now worried that my and his first marriage will rase red flags to our interviewer. I do understand that it looks bad but this is our story and thats how we found each other. So my question is, has anyone been in a similar situation??? Did any questions about prior marriages come up at your interview?

PS, I never filed for any immigration benefits based on my first marriage.

Its going to be flagged i think considering the circumstances but explain better so someone can atleast give you a good opinion or advice.

Was your visa expired or almost before you got married the first time?

Did you file for adjustment of status after marriage? when precisely did you file for the divorce?

Since you didnt file for your previous marriage does that mean you already overstayed your visa duration? The one you came in with?

I think you should seek the help of an attorney and also gather evidence of this relationship to show its a bonafide relationship and not just a means of staying here in the US.

Maybe you ll need to have your ex-husband also write or attest to the fact that the marriage was desolved as a result of irreconcilable differences...

I do think you really need to speak with a lawyer before you have to go for your interview because they do ask about previous marriages at the interview
