I made 2 separate personal checks from 2 different bank a/c (can check when they cashed the checks)

I-485 $1010 (using my checks - applicant)

I-130 $355 (using my husband's checks - petitioner)

That way can clearly see who is filing the case. Even though all applications are sending in one package, but better to make everything as clear as possible. Put each check in front of the 2 diff applications. I don't think it is ok to send one $1365 check.

Ok...now this makes me nervous!

My lawyer said the same, and I remember somewhere sometime reading where people have done it both ways and it has worked. I need to find that info to verify I wasn't dreaming!

I go see my lawyer to give him the check tomorrow...

So after talking with my lawyer today regarding this situation...

He said that people do send separate checks just in case you get RFE's and other call backs.

If everything is squeaky clean and there is nothing to worry about, go ahead and send it as one.

Just wanted to cure anyone's curiosity!
